Your Health, Our Priority The Haywood Health Foundation is committed to improving the healthcare for residents of Haywood County.

Founded in 1978, we have served the citizens of Haywood County for more than three decades. We love our community and want all stakeholders to feel they have access to the healthcare they deserve. Our mission is to improve the health status of Haywood County, its individuals and families through educational programs, grants, scholarships and leadership opportunities. We know that quality healthcar

e is essential to a productive life, but for many, financial strains or situations make this impossible. It is our goal as a foundation to assist individuals and agencies in a number of ways, all with the ultimate goal of fostering a healthier community for our present and future generations. We believe in combining efforts in order to maximize the well-being of those in our community. To achieve our missions and goals, the Haywood Healthcare Foundation takes a three-prong approach, understanding that without each component, we could not operate in the way we have envisioned. The three prongs include:
• Our Target Market: Truly fostering a healthy community is much more than assisting with medical bills and appointments. Though we help individuals and families with unmet healthcare needs, we also provide scholarships for individuals seeking careers in the medical field. Further, we offer grants to agencies and Haywood County non-profits who seek to complete health-initiative projects.

• Our Faithful Volunteers: We could not function without our volunteers. From our Board of Trustees to our event volunteers, many individuals have given countless hours to help promote the foundation and raise substantial amounts of money to improve the healthcare of those in our community.

• Our Dedicated Donors: The Haywood Healthcare Foundation, formerly called the Haywood Regional Medical Center Foundation, has been very fortunate to have dedicated and committed donors for many years. From 1991-2014, 13 million dollars was raised among 6,000 donors. This money went to countless projects to improve the facilities and healthcare experience for those in Haywood County. The Haywood Healthcare Foundation is passionate about our mission and the residents of our county. Whether you need funds or grants, you would like to volunteer, or you would like to donate, we encourage you to get involved. The rewards are insurmountable.
