🚫🔥 County-Wide Burn Ban Notice 🔥🚫

Due to the ongoing dry weather conditions the Halifax County Board of Supervisors approved a county wide burn ban.

We are asking all residents to please refrain from any outdoor burning until further notice. This includes brush burns, debris burning, and any open flames that could pose a fire hazard.

Your cooperation is essential in helping protect our community and keep everyone safe. Updates will be provided as conditions improve.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year’s Eve! 🎊 🎆
Please don’t drink and drive. Plan ahead and have a designated driver. Also, please don’t post locations of sobriety checkpoints. Those posts can lead to dangerous choices and real harm, not only for the driver but also for the others traveling. Let’s protect our friends, families, and community.
Let’s look out for one another and start the new year alive, safe, and together. New Year’s Eve should end with everyone getting home safely!
