Rest in Peace my sweet One on One Vicki
A year of laughter, sweet and deep,
A beautiful promise we got to keep.
Though shadows clouded your brilliant mind,
The love between us remained defined.
You let me call you my sweet "Mama" dear,
To heal my heart and hold me near,
Filling the void from two years ago,
With a warmth that only a mother could know.
We’d sit with friends and sip our coffee slow,
Then ride in the car where the wild winds blow,
Singing out loud at the top of our lungs,
With joy on our lips and praise on our tongues.
An impromptu pull-over, a sudden delight,
To catch the perfect picture in the fading light.
Or dressing you up for a Royal Photo Shoot,
A queen in your grace, beautiful and absolute.
I held the privilege on our quiet spa days,
To pamper my Mama in so many ways.
Washing your hair, making you feel so grand,
Holding your gentle, delicate hand.
We shared our milkshakes, we shared our song,
Grateful for where we both belonged.
It was my absolute pleasure, my highest pride,
To walk through the fading fog by your side.
Today the angels gathered to trace
The final lines of your earthly grace.
October tenth, you gained your wings,
To step into where the choir sings.
The clouds have parted, the fog is all gone,
You’ve stepped right into a beautiful dawn.
And Jesus smiled, holding heaven's door,
"Welcome home, Janice Victoria, weep no more."
Rest peacefully, my sweet Mama Vicki, in His holy embrace.
