We are nearing the end of National Salvation Army week, with only a couple of days left. Here is a final set of pictures from today’s multiple stop visits by Major Matt O'Neil, Lt. Tim Gantner, Lt. The Salvation Army is doing the most good at more than 7,400 centers of operation around the country, with many right here in Central Iowa. Our volunteers and our donors are incredible, and they are the ones who make all we do to help others possible. This week is also about saying thank you to them for all they have done and continue to do all year long. You are amazing and we appreciate you so very much! God bless!

Iowans right here in Central in Greater Des Moines helped The Salvation Army serve 14,947 individuals through our food pantry at The Salvation Army Iowa Capital Area Command, serve 8,194 meals through our Community Meal Program at The Salvation Army - Des Moines Citadel Worship and Community Center, and with the help of many volunteers and egg casseroles, helped to serve 46,321 meals through our canteen Mobile Breakfast Feeding Program in 2025!
