This one means a lot. ❤️🇺🇸

I want to personally thank S&H for their incredibly generous $1,000 donation to Battle Buddy.

When I started Battle Buddy, the goal was simple: help veterans by providing professionally trained service dogs at no cost to them. But we can't do that alone.

It takes people and businesses in our community who believe our veterans are worth investing in—and S&H just showed in a very big way that they do.

Every dollar helps us train and care for the dogs that will eventually stand beside a veteran and give them greater independence, confidence, and companionship.

As the founder of Battle Buddy and as a veteran myself, seeing our community get behind this mission is something I'm incredibly grateful for.

💙 Supporting Veterans Through Four-Legged Heroes

Our S&H Cares Campaign is honored to support Battle Buddy, an organization founded on the concept of mutual rescue: saving dogs from shelters and training them to improve the lives of veterans.

Founded earlier this year by former Army veteran and experienced dog trainer Rebecca, Battle Buddy was built from the ground up with a mission to provide highly trained service dogs to veterans in need. Guided by a dedicated board that meets monthly to develop ideas and support the organization's growth, Battle Buddy is already making a meaningful impact.

The nonprofit has successfully placed its first service dog, is actively working to place a second with veteran Mark and his dog, Junior, and is currently training a potential third service dog.

What makes Battle Buddy especially unique is its commitment to providing lifetime support for both the veteran and the dog throughout the dog's working years and into retirement.

We are proud to support Rebecca and the Battle Buddy team as they continue changing lives through the powerful bond between veterans and rescue dogs.

Battle Buddy is excited to introduce our NEW 10-week Youth Leadership Corps for ages 12–17!

This isn’t just another youth program — it’s an opportunity to learn, grow, make friends, work with dogs, serve the community, and discover what it means to be a leader. 🐕❤️

Youth will get hands-on experience with:

🐾 Professional dog training
🏅 Leadership & confidence building
🤝 Team challenges & teamwork
🐕 Agility and obedience
❤️ Community service
🎯 Responsibility & problem-solving
👥 New friendships
🎉 Fun activities & more!

No dog training experience is required.

We believe every young person deserves a place where they feel welcomed, valued, included, and capable of something great.

Whether your child is outgoing or quiet, already confident or still finding their voice, experienced with dogs or has never trained one before — there is a place for them here.

Battle Buddy is incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks for awarding a grant to support the Youth Leadership Corps and help us create a program centered around inclusion, belonging, leadership, and service.

Their support is helping us give local youth meaningful opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills, connect with others, and make a difference in their community — all while working alongside some pretty amazing dogs. 🐾

The Clinton Animal Shelter is VERY HONORED to be included in the Jordan’s Way National Tour! Kris, from Jordan's Way, will be going LIVE from the Clinton Animal Shelter on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10am-1pm to help us raise funds and awareness for our homeless pets.

Mark your calendars to tune in, watch the shenanigans, donate if you can, and share the live so we can reach as many viewers as possible.

Jordan’s Way was last at our shelter in July 2022. We were able to raise $11,000 then, and we are so excited to welcome them back and hopefully beat that amount this year!!

We had a great evening of training and dinner tonight. Every outing is one step closer to Junior going home with Mark.

We're so thankful Mark and his family got to come visit us at our booth. It was good meeting everyone!
