Running for local office can feel intimidating at first, but the filing process is often much simpler than people expect.
For many local positions, candidates are generally required to complete a small set of forms and submit petition signatures to the appropriate clerk.
Common documents may include:
🧾Statement of Organization
•Campaign Finance Document
🪪Affidavit of Identity
•Notarized form verifying candidate information
📝Candidate Petition
•Used to gather signatures from registered voters supporting placement on the ballot
•Only 6-20 signatures required for Clinton’s 2026 open local seats

•Tuesday, July 21st
