Post 56 selling Rifle Raffle tickets every Saturday from 10:00 - 2:00 until May 30th. Thanks to the wonderful folks at the Clinton Ace Hardware. Proceeds help our Veterans in the local community and help send students to Boys State, Girls State and the Law Cadet Academy. Come by and see us.

What an honor it was to be asked to assist with the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill. Thanks to Debbie Alexander and Tim Erskine for inviting us to the event. Thank you to our team Kevin Myer, Lynn Boyd, Kim Blume, Dean Cramer, Mike Dunkin, and Doug Dilleshaw. You all stepped up some on very short notice. Go Team!

Busy 2 weeks for this group, Veterans Day Parades in Newberry and Whitmire plus topping off Veterans Day with a wonderful ceremony at Clinton High School put on by the JROTC and capping off the night with presentation of Quilts of Valor to 2 of our very special Veterans, James Boyd & Mike Dunkin.

Post 56 and Auxiliary Unit 56 and our Gold Star Family the Egglestons joined together in the Welcome Home to Cross Hill Parade. Wonderful way to kick off the weekend.

ALUMINUM CANS WANTED!! We use the funds we raise from cans to assist Veterans in the Clinton community. These funds also help us send students to Palmetto Boys State, Girls State, and Law enforcement Academy Leadership programs. Please bring your cans to our trailer at 505 N. Broad St. Clinton. We are very grateful for your donations.

On Saturday August 9th we hosted our annual Boys State, Girls State, and Law Cadet Academy recognition banquet. We proudly recognized the outstanding students from Clinton High School, The Thornwell Charter School and Laurens High School. The following students attended Palmetto Boys State: Avery Barnes, Noah Garrett, Jacob King, Matthew King, Charles Orr, Hunter Pingley, William Wyatt and Luke Young. The young ladies attending Girls State were: Jackeline Alcudia, Lillian Corley, Zia Patel, and Ada Ruth Tiller. Law Cadet Academy attendees were: Jalen Bluford, Shaniya Conway, and Hayden Lollis. These students are the best of the best and have demonstrated their Leadership and community spirit. It was our honor to recognize them. Also recognized was our "Gold Star" family of the year, the Egglestons, Karen, Molly, and Avery.

Great Night at Clinton High School with our American Legion Jr Baseball team. We presented the team with a check for $500, honored the Eggleston "Gold Star" Family, recognized all the kids we sent to Boy's & Girl's State and watched our boys defeat the Saluda team 12 - 2. They even let our Sgt-at-Arms Doug Dilleshaw throw out the first pitch. Our team is proudly wearing their 100 year anniversary patches on their uniforms. We are so proud to be supporting such a great group of young men. GO TEAM!
