In our support area, 9 youth are scheduled to age out of foster care this quarter. That means 9 young people stepping into adulthood—often without family support—on their own.

A Journey Bag replaces a moment of uncertainty with dignity, care, and stability.

Each Journey Bag is a durable backpack thoughtfully packed with essentials to support youth transitioning out of foster care and into independent living. These bags help to:
✔️ Replace trash bags with dignity
✔️ Provide immediate comfort and stability
✔️ Support school and daily routines
✔️ Remind youth they are seen and valued

Every predator follows a pattern.
Every parent deserves to recognize it.

The Six Stages of Grooming aren’t random — they’re intentional.

And the scariest part?

Most of them look helpful, harmless, and even kind at first glance. 😔

1️⃣ Targeting — spotting a child who seems trusting, lonely, or overlooked.
2️⃣ Trust — becoming the “safe adult.”
3️⃣ Meeting Needs — gifts, rides, praise, opportunities.
4️⃣ Isolation — quiet moments, private chats, closed doors.
5️⃣ Control — emotional leverage and dependency.
6️⃣ Secrecy — shame, silence, and threats disguised as “love.”

These stages unfold slowly… deliberately… quietly.
A trap built brick by brick.
A test no parent wants to fail.

This is why I wrote The SHIELD System — and why my new book Guardians in Practice is launching now.

To give parents, caregivers, teachers, and mentors the ability to see the pattern before it’s too late. 🛡️
