A day is coming when the things this world taught us to chase will suddenly mean nothing.
The money we exhausted ourselves for… the possessions we guarded…the wealth we thought would make us secure...will all be left behind.
On the day eternity opens before our eyes, no amount of riches will be able to buy one more breath, one more moment, or one more chance to make our lives right before God.
The bills we once called “valuable” will become as worthless as stones scattered on the ground.
And many will realize too late that they spent their whole lives building treasures for a world that was never meant to last.
We live in a generation obsessed with gaining more, achieving more, owning more. People sacrifice peace, family, purity, and even their relationship with God just to obtain temporary things. But heaven has never measured a person by the size of their bank account. God looks at the condition of the heart.
At the end of our lives, we will not stand before Jesus carrying titles, money, lands, or accomplishments. We will stand before Him with only one question echoing through eternity:
“Did you live for Me?”
The sad reality is this: many people are rich on earth but poor toward God. They invested everything into a fading world while neglecting the only treasure that lasts forever.
Jesus never said earthly wealth was the problem. The danger is when our hearts become chained to it. Because whatever captures your heart will ultimately shape your eternity.
This world is passing away. The houses will crumble. The fashion will fade. The economy will collapse. But every prayer, every act of obedience, every sacrifice for Christ, every soul led to Him, every hidden act of love done for His glory...those are treasures that heaven remembers forever.
So do not spend your entire life collecting things you cannot bring beyond the grave.
Store up treasures in heaven. Pursue the riches of knowing Jesus. Invest your life into what eternity values. Because one day, the only thing that will matter…
..is whether or not we belonged to Him 🤍
