Are we losing our country?

A society that forces older folks to use a smartphone in order to access basic rights is not a modern improved society; it is a society that has decided to cast aside its elders.

Most everything has become an app, a code, a portal. Now the very people who built this country with their own hands find themselves illiterate in their own homes. If booking a medical appointment, paying a bill requires, or even getting a discount during a purchase requires the help of a child or grandchild or any younger person - assuming there is one available - then the system is failing.
This is not innovation. It is exclusion.

Technology should serve people, not manipulate to determine who is entitled to dignity, discounts, privileges etc.

When we leave behind those who came before us, we are not evolving. Society is merely becoming more comfortable, more gullible - and more selfish and possibly more unaware of how much they are being manipulated and distracted from reality and true freedom.

Senior Boxes will be usually days for Butler, Arapaho, Custer City. Please make sure you have turned in all documentation our office has requested. If you have not, bring it when picking up box. If an application isn't complete we cannot keep delivering to that individual. Anyone can pick up boxes in our office at 2250 Modelle, Clinton.

Clinton boxes will be ready Tuesday afrernoon and Thursday.

Got a letter from the ? There’s no need to panic. Make sure you read it carefully. The IRS can send notices and letters when it needs to ask a question about a tax return, let you know about a change to your account or request a payment.

FREE TAX SERVICE OFFERED BY IRS:
Opportunities, Inc still has an IRS Free VITA Tax Site located at 2250 Modelle, Clinton. They are able to prepare most all tax returns, both State and Federal.
Capitol Gains, Royalties, small business, K-1, most schedules, etc.
These are IRS certified tax assessors that prepare returns for Free. No gemic. No appointment needed. Bring in documents Monday thru Thursday, 9am to 3pm. If you need to email or fax documents, please call office before doing so. Paperwork can also be dropped after hours in locked drop box. Taxes are done same day or next if dropped late.

Senior boxes may look different this month because we cannot get banana boxes anymore, so we used a variety of boxes. Same amount of food, just not a huge box.

Will be delivered to Butler Wednesday morning from 10am to 12pm. If we did your taxes, we can also bring them to you if you call us before we leave. If you need taxes prepared, when can pick your paperwork up.

Arapaho boxes delivered 12:30 pm to 1pm.

Custer City senior boxes will be delivered at 1:30 pm to 3pm. If you need taxes prepared or delivered let is know in the morning so we can gather your paperwork.

Clinton boxes will be delivered Thursday throughout the day.

TEMPORARLY OUT OF HEATER'S, COATS AND BLANKETS
For now, we are out of a few winter items but We always have food and hygiene. Donations come in daily, so don't hesitate to ask us for anything. You can message us here and we will try to respond as soon as we see it.

All items are FREE. We are not a thrift store selling your donations. We give everything donated to us for FREE to those in need.
