IGY622

We wanted to share an extra detail from this year’s Service Pets for Vets shirts that meant so much to our family.

The sleeve was made in memory of our founder’s wife, Sharon Helbach, who passed away on March 12th of this year.

Sharon loved IGY622 and the work we do with Service Pets for Vets, and this was an event she looked forward to each year. Having her name on the shirts gave us a way to carry her memory with us during this year’s ride.

Thank you to Service Pets for Vets and everyone who helped put the shirts together, and again to everyone who came out to support the ride. She is deeply missed and will always be a part of what we do. 🪽🏍️🇺🇸

Another successful year for Service Pets for Vets!

This year’s ride raised enough money to provide service dogs for 3 veterans. Thank you to everyone who came out, the continued support from the community is what makes this possible.

‼️ We are now working through the final application process for the first two veterans and their service dogs. Stay tuned for updates as we move forward with all three.

Thank you again to Service Pets for Vets and everyone who helped make the 5th Annual Service Pets for Vets Ride such a success.

The Utah Warriors is a nonprofit organization that unites veterans and active-duty service members through the grit and glory of ice hockey, building camaraderie, honoring shared service, and creating strength, healing, and purpose on and off the ice.

They will be hosting their first annual Never Forget Ice Hockey Classic 9/10-9/13. This year it will only be a 4 team tournament. The Utah Warriors will be playing Guns (local current and former law enforcement), Hoses (local current and former firefighters), and The Hill AFB Falcons.
There will also be an exhibition Sled Hockey game on Sunday. If you’re in the Park City, UT area stop by and say hello and enjoy some hockey.

The Utah Warriors Ice Hockey team is running our first of hopefully many tournaments. This tournament will feature the Utah Warriors, Hill Air Force Falcons, Guns (Utah Police), and Hoses (Utah Fire Fighters). Come out and support the teams or donate to help bring together first responders, active military, and veterans. This tournament will be unique in that it will have all different levels on the ice. Oh and how could we forget the will be a Sled Hockey game on Sunday as well.

As we reach the end of the regular season for the Utah Mammoth, IGY622 is pleased to honor the final guest of this year’s season. A little divergence for this one - The President of IGY622 (Brian Helbach) is honoring his dad, Warren Helbach, and accompanying him to the final game of our ticket giveaway for this season. Warren is a proud veteran with service from 1972 to 1977. He served as a C-130 Aircraft Mechanic and Crew Chief in Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Germany, England, and the United States. He also traveled to many other countries during his service in the United States Air Force. After active duty, Warren continued to serve in many positions for the federal government, including a deployment to Afghanistan, and an assignment in Saudi Arabia. In his retirement, he says …” I just golf and cook spaghetti!”
Thank you, Warren, for being a great dad, grandfather, and great grandfather! And thank you for your service!

IGY622 looks forward to providing more honored guests with the opportunity to attend Utah Mammoth Games next year!!

As the Utah Mammoth heads into postseason, IGY622 wishes them much success during the playoffs.

We’ve Got Your Six!
Remember the world is much better with you in it!
Don’t give in to the war within!
