𝗥𝗗𝗢𝗧: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿

When someone decides they're ready for help, that moment matters.

But too often, barriers get in the way—confusion about where to go, fear of judgment, or not knowing who to call.

Hope Not Handcuffs was created to break down barriers.

Anyone struggling with drug or alcohol addiction can walk into one of more than 150 participating police departments or community partners and simply ask for help. From there, they're connected to FAN's Hope Not Handcuffs Call Center, where trained staff work to place them into treatment.

For those who can't walk in, help is just a phone call away. The Hope Line (833.202.4673) is available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 365 days a year.

𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳, 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗰𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀.

The Hope Not Handcuffs team outdid themselves in April. In addition to connecting 𝟰𝟭𝟭 people to treatment for their substance use disorder, the Call Center also answered 𝟯,𝟱𝟮𝟮 calls—an average of 𝟭𝟭𝟳 per day.

March was a busy month for our empathetic Hope Not Handcuffs team, as they connected 𝟯𝟳𝟯 people to treatment for their substance use disorder. Our Call Center also answered 𝟯,𝟮𝟲𝟭 calls—an average of 𝟭𝟬𝟱 per day.

The men and women who reached out to us last month were assisted by people who truly care: no judgment; just compassion and a desire to help people change their lives. That's what we do at FAN. 🩵

Here's hoping all the men and women who went to treatment last month can end the thing that's not working for them and find recovery.💙

Dear FAN Friends & Family…

As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a happy Thanksgiving.

I am always reminded of how difficult the holidays can be when we have a loved one who is ill or suffering, or when we are spending a holiday in the absence of someone we care deeply for.

This year, I am especially mindful of that as I begin my first holiday season without my mom. I'm already feeling that void, but I know in my heart that she would want family and friends to come together and find joy and gratitude in all that we have.

As you journey through this holiday season, find comfort in the little things. Cherish the moments you have with family and friends. Keep your absent loved ones close in your heart, and quietly remember the happy moments you shared.

Most importantly, if you are in need of help—even if it is just emotional support—please don't try to brave it alone. Reach out and ask for help.

FAN is always here to support you in whatever way we can.
