We are committed to developing critical thinkers who will learn how to navigate and overcome societal pressures as well as maintain an achievement mindset to drive success. We strive to inspire and advance female empowerment, social justice, and global citizenship, while emphasizing the importance of mentorship, so that relationships with friends, parents and community members are fostered.

Y’all, we have something BIG to celebrate, and we want YOU to be part of it! 🎉

Five years ago, Leading Young Women Network began with a vision to create opportunities and spaces where girls and young women could discover their voices, embrace their potential, build meaningful relationships, and develop as leaders.

Today, that vision continues to grow, and we are beyond excited to officially open the doors of The LeadHERship Center! đź’•

More than a building, this Center represents a home for sisterhood, mentorship, leadership development, healing, connection, and community. A space where girls and women can show up as their authentic selves, feel supported, and know that their voices matter.

And as we celebrate this exciting new chapter, we’re also commemorating five years of Leading Young Women Network!

We couldn’t imagine celebrating either milestone without the community that has helped us get here.

One Vision. One Community. Limitless Possibilities. đź’—đź’ś

As we celebrate five years of Leading Young Women Network, we are taking a moment to recognize the woman whose vision started it all, our Founder & CEO, Dr. Tamika Quick!

What began as a vision to create spaces where girls and young women could discover their voices, embrace their potential, and develop as leaders has grown into a community of women committed to making that vision a reality.

Over the past five years, Leading Young Women has continued to evolve. We’ve expanded our programming, developed meaningful partnerships, secured funding to support our work, and established the LeadHERship Center—a space designed to bring girls, women, families, and communities together.

But perhaps one of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been the incredible women who have stepped forward to help carry the mission.

As we recently introduced our Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and Community Collective Leads, we were reminded of something our Founder has believed from the very beginning: none of us can do this work alone.

Behind every program, partnership, opportunity, and milestone is a collective of women who have chosen to invest their time, talents, expertise, and hearts into creating something greater than themselves.

And as we look toward the 2026–2027 programmatic year, we are excited to continue building on that foundation.

Our focus is on strengthening and expanding our programs, deepening our partnerships with schools and communities, creating more opportunities for mentorship and leadership development, and building the organizational infrastructure necessary to sustain this work for years to come.

We are grateful for how far we’ve come, inspired by the women walking alongside us, and incredibly excited about where we’re headed.

To every woman who has said YES to being part of this journey, thank you. Your commitment is helping shape the next chapter of Leading Young Women.

And to our Founder, thank you for believing in the possibilities and for continuing to remind us that when we invest in girls and young women, we invest in the future of our communities.

Meet Our Community Collective Leads | Bringing Leadership and Opportunity Closer to Home

At Leading Young Women Network, we believe meaningful community impact begins with relationships, representation, and a shared commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation.

As we continue introducing the women helping advance our mission, we are pleased to recognize our Community Collective Leads serving Passaic, Paterson, Jersey City and Newark.

These women will play an important role in strengthening our local presence, building relationships with families and community stakeholders, cultivating partnerships, and connecting girls and young women to mentorship, leadership development, and empowering experiences.

Our Community Collective model reflects an important part of our organizational growth: ensuring that our work is not only accessible to the communities we serve, but also informed and strengthened by the people within those communities.

We are not simply expanding our reach. We are building community-rooted leadership and a stronger network of support for girls and young women.

As Leading Young Women celebrates five years of impact, we are excited about the opportunity to deepen our presence throughout New Jersey and work alongside educators, families, organizations, and local leaders who share our commitment to empowering the next generation.

💗💜 MEET THE WOMEN HELPING US BUILD WHAT’S NEXT! 💜💗

There is something incredibly special about watching a vision grow beyond what you could have imagined when you first started.

When Leading Young Women was founded, we knew the kind of spaces, experiences, and opportunities we wanted to create for our girls. What we also knew was that this work was never meant to be done alone.

It takes a village. And what a village we are building! đź’•

Today, we are so excited to introduce the incredible women who make up our Leading Young Women Network Leadership Team!

These women bring different backgrounds, experiences, talents, and perspectives, but they share something that means so much to me: a genuine commitment to helping girls and young women discover their voices, recognize their worth, develop as leaders, and embrace the possibilities ahead of them.

From strengthening our programs and partnerships to expanding opportunities, engaging families, supporting college women, and building the systems that will sustain our work, each of these women has an important role in helping us move this mission forward.

And what excites us most is that we aren’t simply building an organization. We are building a community of women committed to opening doors, creating opportunities, and making sure the next generation knows they do not have to navigate their journeys alone.

To our leadership team, thank you for believing in this vision and choosing to lend your gifts, your time, and your hearts to this work. We are looking forward to all that we will accomplish together!

As Leading Young Women continues to grow, so does the circle of women helping us steward the mission, strengthen the organization, and build what comes next.

We are incredibly excited to introduce the women who will serve on the Leading Young Women Board of Directors for the 2026–27 program year.

These women bring different experiences, perspectives, relationships, and areas of expertise to the table—but they share one important commitment: creating greater opportunities, stronger communities, and brighter futures for girls and young women.

Our Board isn’t simply a list of names or titles. They are partners in the work—helping us think bigger, govern responsibly, build sustainably, deepen our community relationships, and ensure that the vision we started five years ago continues to grow with purpose. ✨

As we enter this next chapter, we’re grateful to have women willing to lend their time, talent, leadership, networks, and voices to help carry the mission forward.

We’ve been waiting to share this one! 🥹💕

Today, Leading Young Women Network officially begins our partnership with Philips Academy in Paterson, welcoming a new group of 7th-grade girls into HER: The Becoming Experience™.

Throughout this school year, we’ll create intentional space for our girls to explore who they are, strengthen their confidence, navigate friendships and relationships, find their voices, experience sisterhood and discover who they are becoming. 💗

And today is Day One.

To our newest HER girls—we can’t wait to meet you, learn alongside you, pour into you and watch you grow.

Leading Young Women is excited to bring the LeadHER Collective to Newark in collaboration with The Campbell House The Campbell House !

This fall, we’re creating a FREE space for Newark high school girls to come together for real conversations, sisterhood, leadership development, wellness, college & career readiness, community impact—and so much more.

Because our girls deserve spaces where they can show up as themselves, find their voice, build confidence, dream bigger and be surrounded by other young women who are growing right alongside them. đź’•

📍 Open to high school-aged girls (Grades 9–12) who live in or attend school in Newark
📅 October – December
🗓 Mondays & Wednesdays | 6:00–8:00 PM
💗 FREE to participate — but space is limited!
