DIAPER DISTRIBUTION UPDATE!

The Diaper Distribution program provides for essential baby items to families who live at Mountain View Apartments, Dolly Ann Apartments, or who's children attend the Alleghany Highlands YMCA Early Learning Centers.

Diapers and wipes are provided by the Southwest Virginia Diaper Bank (Huddle Up Moms). For families who also need to request clothing or formula, you will also submit the Mountain Momma form. Be descriptive of gender and clothing sizes, type of formula, and indicate any allergies to brands so we can avoid them.

Diaper bank form due: 14th of every month
Mountain Momma form due: 1st of every month
Pick up: the second Wednesday of each month

We will drop off your package at the location you indicate in the form.

Welcome our new lactation team member, Nikki!

Nikki has completed her certification through the Lactation Education Resources, an accredited program recognized by the LEAARC. She is also beginning her clinical hours towards an IBCLC certification!

She will be supporting families beginning September 1st! If you need support, reach out to us on Facebook or at (540) 627-5255.

We can provide in home support, or see you and baby at our location at 511 McCormick Boulevard Clifton Forge VA! We want you to feel comfortable, so we are happy to meet you wherever that is for you. 🩷

Mikayla is still seeing families, too! It is great to have two people able to serve the community. Who you will see may depend on our schedules and where you are in the county.

We will also be hosting another breastfeeding & pumping class on September 19th! Both Mikayla and Nikki will be there, so it's also a great time to meet our support team! Tag an expecting mom to let them know about the class and our services!

644 diapers going out today through our Diaper Distribution Program!

Families of Mountain View apartments, Dolly Ann apartments, and the Alleghany Highlands YMCA Early Learning Centers can have diapers and wipes delivered once a month. This program removes transportation barriers or work constraints for families who cannot make it to our maternity closet during open hours.

We also stopped by the store to restock diapers in sizes four, five, and six. If you or your organization is interested in supporting diaper insecurity in our community, we would love to hose a drive with you! We are in need of
