Northwest Neighborhoods invites you to attend a free Housing Violations Workshop on April 15 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Urban Community School (4909 Lorain Avenue). This informative session will focus on property violations and what they mean for property owners. Representatives from Housing Court, the City of Cleveland Department of Building and Housing, Cleveland City Council, the Cuyahoga County Office of Public Defenders, and Northwest Neighborhoods will be on hand to share insights, answer questions, and connect you with helpful resources. There will be a Q&A session with the speakers. The workshop is free and open to the community, but we kindly ask that you pre-register to help us plan for the evening. Refreshments will be provided. The spring grant cycle for the Cudell & Edgewater Neighborhood Project is now open! The Cudell-Edgewater Neighborhood Project Fund seeks to promote resident led projects and/or improvements in the Cudell and Edgewater Neighborhoods.

In the first grant cycle, $40,192 were awarded to 10 proposals that will be used for murals, events, resources, and beautification.

We’re so excited to have Safar in Edgewater!

Safar, a fine-dining, modern Indian fusion restaurant, opens today in the former Tick Tock Tavern. It's the main concept part of a three venue concept replacing the historic tavern.

The other concept is a bar, called the Legacy, a nod to Tick Tock, plus an unnamed speakeasy lounge. In addition to drinks, Legacy will offer a standard American menu similar to that of the Tick Tock.

The speakeasy lounge offers a darker, more moody decor with lounge-style seating. It and the other two attached venues will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
