🐾 Foster Homes Needed 🐾

As a foster-based rescue, one of the greatest things we need (outside of donations) is FOSTER HOMES. ❤️

We can raise funds for vet care, food, and supplies, but without foster homes, our ability to help cats and kittens is limited. Every available foster home gives us another opportunity to rescue an animal who needs a safe place to land.

Fostering means opening your home temporarily, providing love and care, and helping a cat or kitten get ready for their forever family. We provide guidance and support along the way.

You don’t have to foster forever. You just have to be willing to make a difference for one. 🐱

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign to consider it. And if you can’t foster, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can.

Every cat deserves a soft landing. ❤️

Another incredibly thoughtful donation from Dwight’s mom, one of our amazing adopters! ❤️ She donated TWO raffle baskets to help support Meow and Forever Cat Rescue at this weekend’s vendor events. 🥹

This kind of support and encouragement means more than you know. Every donation, share, and kind word helps keep this rescue going and allows us to continue giving cats the second chances they deserve. 🐾

Come see us this weekend, check out our raffle baskets, and support rescue! We’d love to see you! ❤️

Thank you, Dwight’s mom, for continuing to support us and the cats. We are so grateful for you! 🐱💕

🐾 LET'S SPOTLIGHT HONEY! 🐾

I genuinely cannot believe this sweet girl hasn't been adopted yet. 🥹❤️ Honey is quite literally the sweetest baby who just wants love, attention, and to be near her people. 24/7/365. She has so much love to give, and she deserves a family who will give her just as much in return.

She is the kind of cat who makes you wonder how anyone could possibly overlook her. She is ready for her forever home, and we're hoping the right person sees this and realizes that Honey could be their perfect match. 🏡🐱

Let's help Honey find her people!❤️

If you're not in a position to adopt, sharing her post could help it reach the person she's been waiting for. You never know who might be looking for a sweet companion just like her.

🐾 Meet Honey on Petfinder: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/honey-1302a01d-35d4-42cd-8cd3-88ed9a3e1dd6/oh/cleveland/meow-and-forever-cat-rescue-oh1411/details/

Let's get this girl the attention she deserves! ❤️

Bring Honey home! Honey is a young medium female Domestic Short Hair in Cleveland, OH waiting for adoption.

Capacity isn’t a moral failure.

It’s what keeps a foster-based rescue from becoming a tiny, unpaid feline warehouse. 😂

There’s a lot of pressure in rescue to say yes to every cat who needs help. And believe me, I understand that pressure. When you see a mom with kittens, a scared stray, or a cat sitting in a shelter with nowhere to go, your first instinct is to figure out how to make room.

But the reality is that foster homes have limits. Time has limits. Money has limits. Veterinary care has limits. And the people doing this work have limits, too.

Saying “we’re at capacity” doesn’t mean we don’t care.

It means we’re trying to make sure the cats already in our care receive the time, attention, medical care, socialization, and love they deserve.

For a small, 100% volunteer, foster-based rescue, responsible rescue sometimes means saying “not right now.”

And that’s okay.

Because rescue isn’t about how many animals you can say yes to.

It’s about making sure the ones you say yes to don’t get lost in the numbers.

Every cat deserves a soft landing. 🐾

EDIT: EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER 🌧️

We’re heading to Dog Gone Fun Day! 🐾

Yes, we’re a cat rescue at a dog event. 😂 But we believe dogs and cats can coexist peacefully, so we’re bringing Meow and Forever along for the fun!

Stop by and say hello, learn more about our rescue, and check out our limited selection of Meow and Forever T-shirts and hoodies. We’ll also have a raffle basket you can check out and grab some tickets for your chance to win!

Come support a local animal rescue while you’re out enjoying the day. We’d love to see you there!

September has been a busy month for Meow and Forever. ❤️

So far this month, we’ve welcomed several kittens into rescue, helped get cats where they needed to go, and continued working behind the scenes to make sure the cats in our care receive the vetting, food, supplies, and love they need.

Some of these little ones are still settling in, and a few haven’t even earned their official names yet. They’re currently busy doing important kitten things like eating, sleeping, playing, and generally keeping everyone on their toes. 😂

With each new intake comes another round of veterinary expenses, especially spay/neuter, vaccines, testing, deworming, flea prevention, and microchipping.

If you’d like to help us care for the kittens and cats currently in rescue, donations toward their veterinary care are always incredibly appreciated.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue giving these cats the soft landing they deserve.
