Kol Israel Foundation is heartbroken by the mass shooting that occurred in Australia during a menorah lighting this past weekend. For Holocaust survivors, October 7th survivors, and their families, this antisemitic attack is a painful echo of a history we know too well. Jewish families celebrating their faith were met with violence and terror. An act of antisemitism committed during such a sacred moment is a direct assault on Jewish existence, memory, and dignity.

We stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the Jewish community in Australia. We call on all community leaders to protect Jewish life by confronting antisemitism with urgency and resolve.
