Enjoyed participating in the annual meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements today at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. Great to see our beautiful park represented by a fellow attendee. Received the gift of a 1920 original copy of The Lost Link by R. G. Spurling to be displayed as a part of our historical heritage at Fields of the Wood. We are planning to have historical pieces as a part of our newly functional Sanctuary Hall. More details to come.

💙 A Season of Transition 💙

Our Gift Shop Manager, Beckey, will be stepping away from her role to care for her extended family. While our hearts are heavy, we are deeply thankful for her dedication and the care she has shown. We pray the Lord’s blessings over Beckey as she enters this next season.

On January 26 and 27 of 1906, a small group of Bible believing individuals gathered to discern the will and Word of God to be the Church of God of the Bible. As they met, the minutes of that meeting record weeping and prayer and a passion to respond to the call of God to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with great zeal and energy. This small group has expanded its influence throughout the world in the last 120 years. Lives have been transformed by the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ. Power has been poured out to accomplish great and miraculous things for God. This movement continues today through the work and ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy and others. This small one room shack (picture from 1940s) shows the simplicity of the humble beginnings of our church.

We encourage you to join us on February 3 at 2pm as we remember and celebrate what the Lord has done. May our meeting once again stir our hearts for a greater emphasis on the gospel in a world that needs to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
