The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the attraction, development, and building of infrastructure for the media production industry in Northeast Ohio. The Greater Cleveland Film Commission (GCFC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, whose mission is to create jobs and economic impact for Northeast Ohio through a vibrant film and media arts industry. The most re

cent project, the Netflix film “White Noise” (starring Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, and Don Cheadle), filmed across Northeast Ohio for 21 weeks, employing 921 crew and 3,000 extras, booked over 36,000 hotel room nights, and spent an estimated $106.6 million in the region. Due to our efforts projects like this have created 6,192 full-time equivalent jobs and brought over $1.2 billion into Ohio’s economy. GCFC connects cast and crew talent directly to production opportunities and invests in a strong local workforce by presenting workshops, seminars, FilmSkills training and internships, designed to give local talent the education, experience and professional connections to succeed in the film industry. GCFC works tirelessly to expand the film industry in Northeast Ohio, train and support a local workforce in order to generate real, sustainable opportunities that attract and retain talent.

Join us for our August Shorts Club event, CIFF50 Best of the Rest, featuring six short films that just missed the cut for CIFF50. Our Short Films Programming Team has selected six standouts they couldn’t wait to share, and now it’s your turn to weigh in.

After the screening, you’ll vote for your favorite film and help select the very first short to join the CIFF51 lineup!
