Today would have marked the 15th Annual Autism Society of Greater Cleveland Chili Cook Off. Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COVID-19, this amazing event had to be postponed.
Like many other events, we had everything already secured and ready to go. We had several sponsorships, donations, baskets, chefs, ads, and tickets that came in very quickly. The countless hours that were already put into this event is unmeasurable.
On behalf of myself, the board, ASGC, and all the volunteers, one way or another we will make this event happen. At this present time, I can not confirm a new date but hopefully in September. It also may be a different layout than we are all use to but we will make it happen and in the safest way possible. This event is not just about tasting the best chili around but it’s about raising money to help implement programming and the needs of children and their families with Autism and other disabilities.
My sincere gratitude and appreciation goes out to Holiday Inn, Todd Meany and the Ace Molar Band, Ed Flash Ferenc, Augie’s Pizza and the Jenks Family, Event Source, Jim Feather, Jim Loiko, the chefs, the restaurants, the fire departments, the judges, and all the businesses who have donated or sponsored us. Thank you for your continued support especially during this difficult time.
In honor of the chili cook off, please post pictures from past years to keep the spirit going!
