Today, Overdose Awareness meant so much more to me than simply hosting an event—it was deeply personal.

I stood today as a woman who knows firsthand what addiction can steal, but I also stand as living proof of what God, recovery, love, and community can restore. I remembered those who never received the second chance I was blessed to receive. I honored the grieving families, the children who endured the consequences of our addictions, and every person who is still struggling in silence.

At Grace Recovery Café, we are turning our pain into purpose. My past does not disqualify me—it equips me to reach back and help someone else find their way forward. Every story shared, every hug given, every Narcan kit distributed, and every word of encouragement declared one powerful truth: YOUR LIFE MATTERS!

Today meant hope has a home. It meant recovery is possible, families can heal, lives can be rebuilt, and no one has to fight alone.

To everyone we have lost: we remember you.
To every grieving family: we stand with you.
To everyone still fighting: you are not your worst day, and your story is not over.

Today, I didn’t just raise awareness—I stood as living proof that pain can become purpose, brokenness can become ministry, and what tried to destroy us can be used to help save somebody else.

As long as there is breath, there is hope. 💜
