IMPORTANT COMMUNITY NOTICE FROM LADIES WITH A MISSION
We want to bring an important concern to the attention of our community.

If you have given items to an individual named Tom under the understanding that those items would be donated to Ladies With A Mission, we want you to be aware of something.

Items given to this individual for our organization have not been donated to us. Instead, he has attempted to sell those items to us.

To clarify, our organization has never purchased these items from him. My son initially purchased music from this individual, which eventually led to repeated visits involving other merchandise that he wanted to sell.

Once we became aware of the situation, we stopped accepting these transactions. We have since learned that he has been approaching other local thrift stores to sell merchandise.

What bothers me most is not the resale of merchandise. It is the concern that generous members of our community may be giving away their belongings believing they are helping our nonprofit, when those items are actually being used for someone else’s financial gain.

Please understand that this individual is NOT authorized to collect donations on behalf of Ladies With A Mission.

If you have given items to this individual believing they were going directly to our organization, we would appreciate hearing from you privately.

Our mission is to serve our community with honesty, compassion, and integrity. We simply ask that no one use our organization’s name or the generosity of our donors for personal financial benefit.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Ladies With A Mission ❤️

Looking for resources
One of our volunteers has a eight year-old dog that is extremely sick. Not sure as originally it was thought to have arthritis but the dog can barely walk on his hind legs. He was not injured. It’s just an onset illness. Does anyone have any resources for this young lady of where they would maybe provide income based animal care?

Our Christmas shop is not live yet. Registration will be handled differently this year, and everyone will be verified through a third-party to ensure we are truly helping as many people as possible. We had so many families last year that registered under aliases and maiden names or husband and wife registering separately. That breaks my heart as I always have committed to helping everyone. That being said, we will have new registration requirements as well as proof of children in the household. What we will be requiring is pretty much the same as all of the other organizations that provide assistance at Christmas time. The only thing we will not request is income.

Please do not blow up my phone with messages. As I said, we are not open for registration at this time. We have different avenues. We are partnering with to fulfill those needs first, and then we have an overflow and we will open up to the public registration after the other partnerships have been completed. But once again, positive proof of identification and proof of the children in your household will be required this year and will be verified through charity checker.

As always, thank you Hair By Koko for showing up and showing out!
Thank you as well for providing the complementary cut corrections this past week for those not so cool back to school haircuts!
FYI. She never publicly called anyone out about their cuts! But truth is the truth, and her books prove the Butchered cuts children got from other events throughout these past two weeks.
As always, she takes her time with every single child or even when she’s serving the homeless, she takes time cutting their hair and showing love dignity and compassion!

You may see a pile of hair but I see 22 children that are gonna be going back to school with haircuts they’re confident with and parents who don’t have to stress over buying schooo supplies and a haircut🩷🫡
