Last month, Sleep In Heavenly Peace - GA, Lafayette suffered a devastating loss. A storage unit fire destroyed tools, bedding, and nearly 100 bed frames, including beds built just a few months ago at the Lowe’s 24-Hour Bed Build in Charlotte.

BUT THEN… Our wonderful partners at Lowe's Home Improvement stepped up and offered to replace the materials needed to rebuild every single bed. 🛠️🛏️

Today, three of our local Bradley County team members traveled to GA to build alongside their Core Team, a handful of other SHP chapters, and local volunteers. Together, they rebuilt 100 beds for children in need 👏

We are so proud of this beautiful display of community and teamwork. 💙

If you know a child in Bradley County who is sleeping without a proper bed, please share this post. You could change their life.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace provides FREE bunk beds to children ages 3-17 in our community. Here's what you need to know:

✅ It's completely free, no cost to families
✅ We serve zip codes: 37310, 37311, 37312, 37320, 37323, 37353, and 37364
✅ Apply online at shpbeds.org/apply

⏳ Heads up on timing: Due to volunteer availability, it may take a few weeks to a month or more before your delivery is scheduled. If you haven't heard from us within 3 weeks of applying, please follow up via email, phone, or Facebook message to make sure we received your application.

At Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we believe the most powerful thing a neighbor can do is show up for another neighbor. No questions asked, no special skills required.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Teachers, retirees, teenagers, families with young kids. What they all have in common? A heart for this community and a willingness to give a couple of hours.

And in those couple of hours? A child gets a bed. A family gets hope. A community gets a little stronger.
