Tarkington Athletic Booster Club The TABC is a 100% volunteer organization with a mission of supporting all TISD athletic programs with Traditional Longhorn Spirit & Pride.

The Tarkington Athletic Booster Club is an ALL SPORTS Booster Club. Our purpose is to provide support and assistance to our student athletes and Coaching staff through fundraising, volunteerism and by promoting school and community spirit in accordance with the established policies of Tarkington Independent School District and the University Interscholastic League. Membership is open to all parent

Last night was truly something special for Tarkington Athletics.

The Booster’s goal was simple—to create a night that our athletes and families would be proud to be part of—and seeing it all come together made it even more meaningful. Every detail, every moment, and every smile in the room reflected just how much these athletes mean to all of us.

To our athletes—this night was for you. Your hard work, dedication, and heart all season long deserved to be celebrated in a big way. We are so proud of each of you and all that you’ve accomplished.

We’re rolling right into the early 90s as we continue celebrating the tradition of Tarkington Longhorn athletics leading up to our banquet!

The early 90s brought a new era of athletes, but the same Longhorn mindset—tough, competitive, and proud to wear maroon and gold. 💛 From Friday night lights to game days across every sport, these teams carried on a legacy that was already strong and pushed it even further.

There’s something special about looking back at these moments—because the same pride you see in these pictures is the same pride our athletes carry today.

As we continue celebrating the legacy of Tarkington Longhorn athletics, today’s throwback takes us through the 1970s yearbook and into 1988.

From the 70s to the late 80s, one thing never changed—Longhorn pride. 💛
Different uniforms, different faces, but the same grit, determination, and love for the game that still defines our athletes today.
