Grantmaking Overview
This Foundation welcomes applications for the Grants to Educators program and the Grants to Schools program. These programs support the Foundation’s fundamental objective of recognizing and encouraging outstanding elementary and secondary schools and educators who develop and implement innovative classroom programs and activities to stimulate the learning process of their stu
dents and faculty. Thank you for considering the McGinty Family Foundation as a partner in your work. We believe it is important to walk alongside prospective grantees to accomplish goals of mutual interest and we are very interested in reviewing new and innovative ideas aimed at helping students succeed. We intentionally place students and their families at the center of everything we do and we want the organizations and policies we support to surround them with integrated programs that address the comprehensive needs of children, their families and communities. In general, we do not provide funding for operational phases of established programs, capital requests (which includes the construction, purchase, renovation, and/or furnishing of facilities), equipment, conferences and workshops, films, television and/or radio programs, endowments, development campaigns, or research/studies unless they are an integral part of a larger program budget being considered for funding. To be eligible for support, your organization or institution, as well as the purpose of the proposed project, must qualify under regulations of the United States Internal Revenue Service. As a result, we are not able to provide funding directly to individuals. As you might expect, we receive more requests each year than we are able to fund with our limited resources. As a result, we are not able to fund ideas that do not fit within our current programming framework and guidelines. Innovative Education Practices
Encourage innovative education and learning practices – and partnerships between schools, families, communities, government and business – that align and strengthen conditions that ensure healthy, whole child development.
