All are welcome to our monthly Spirits & Social Justice conversation, on Thursday, April 9 at 6pm at Pilgrim Church, with guest Anton Krieger of the Buckeye Environmental Network and Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District board. Food & drink!

Outlawing the Use of Radioactive/Carcinogenic Fracking Waste as a Road Deicer

Anton Krieger is an organizer for Oil & Gas Waste for the Buckeye Environmental Network. From Anton: Currently I work on the issue of radioactive oil & gas waste being applied to roads in Ohio as a dust suppressant and deicer. Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ 2024 data showed over 35,000 barrels were recorded as spread on roads in Ohio. I work in both local and state politics to get policy that protects people passed. I also am a board member of the County Soil and Water Conservation District, for the past 5 years. I earned my master's in public administration from Cleveland State University with concentrations in both City Management and Economic Development.
