Hi everybody! I hope you're all doing great. This has been a difficult year to get shelter visits in because of the Covid 19 pandemic. I have been doing some shelter animal related things though. In May we had a litter of foster kittens and their mom at our house. They went back to their shelter a couple weeks ago. I also had a small blanket and canned food donation I just posted that went to Stay-A-While Cat Shelter today. I hope things start to get better so we can do more shelter visits soon. This is a picture of our foster kittens now that they're back at Stay-A-While Cat Shelter. They will be available for adoption soon, but you have to make an appointment to go see them. The kittens are Riley, Sully, Mobie, Archie and Auggie.

March 21, 2020. Our new baby rat, Ca$h. He was also saved, and he'll be able to enjoy his life. Kindness matters 🙂.
We hope every body is doing well. We look forward to doing another shelter visit when shelters are open to the public again. Stay safe, and always choose kindness ♥️

You guys, meet Parker! We saved him on Saturday, February 15th. He was literally going to be killed that afternoon by a snake breeder. He is a very cute Dumbo rat that is about 7 weeks old. We originally thought he was a girl, but now he can't room with Saki and Soy. We might have to get him a buddy. I'm discovering just how cute and fun these little rats are :)

Just to update you guys, we have two new members in our family. Since 2020 is the Year of the Rat (according to the Chinese zodiac calendar) we decided it would be fun to adopt some rats. We actually saved them from being snake food. Saki and Soy are about 7 weeks old and so much fun. We are handling them often so they are well socialized as adults. Some people may be afraid of rats, but they are actually very sweet and smart creatures that make good pets. We have only had them for four days and they are already settling in well. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Aug. 31, 2019. We caught another baby. Her name's Shasta. One more baby to go. And then we'll get the mom.

Aug. 30, 2019. Here are the two babies we have caught so far. The family is living under our shed.

Aug. 28, 2019. Please spay or neuter your pets. This is what happens when you don't. Worse can happen too.
We have caught two of the babies so far, and have two more to go. And then we will get the mom. Thankfully the shelter we do most of our fostering for is helping us out. We will foster this family until they have space for them to come to the shelter. I hope we are able to catch everyone safely.
