Meet Divine Providence Home’s newest addition, three-week-old Joshua. 🥰

Joshua was taking in by Divine Providence Home after his mother disappeared suddenly. His father is very poor and unable to care for Joshua on his own. Police are investigating to figure out what happened to Joshua’s mother.

We are saddened by their separation, but thank God that Joshua will be well-cared for at Divine Providence Home and will aid them in caring for them.

Please keep Joshua and his mother in your prayers. 🙏🏿

Immaculate was born ten days ago and diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Extremely impoverished, his family was unable to pay for the cost of his cesarean delivery, yet alone the treatments needed to treat his condition. Through the generosity of a private donor, we were able to pay Immaculate’s delivery bill and will continue to assist them in covering the costs of his treatments, including the MRI and x-rays that he received today.

Please keep Immaculate in your prayers on this feast of Our Lady of Fatima - that Mary may keep him in her immaculate heart, interceding in his recovery.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. 🙏🏿

Please pray for this baby boy who was delivered at Catholic Maternity Hospital last week and has hydrocephalus.

His mother was unable to pay their bill, so one of our generous donors covered the cost of his delivery through our St. Gerard Fund. He has been transferred to another hospital for treatment, and we will help him in any way possible.

This little one certainly has a long road to recovery ahead, but God is in control and your prayers will no doubt be efficacious. Updates to come. 🙏🏿

Earlier today, Catholic Maternity Hospital’s newly-renovated NICU was unveiled, with a visit and blessing from the archbishop!

We are so grateful to our generous partners who donated to make this renovation possible. Because of you all, we were able to provide the hospital with new supplies and equipment, such as an ultrasound machine, incubator and radiant warmer.

However, all of this equipment is of little use without the electricity to power it, and Ogoja unfortunately suffers frequent, intermittent power outages. To remedy this, we equipped the entire maternity ward with solar panels!

Thanks be to God, and thank you for your continued support, which enables us to improve the lives of Nigeria’s children.

This morning, we paid to have Blessing and her newborn daughter, Alesia, freed after a week of hospital detainment.

Blessing’s family was able to pay a portion of their medical bill but ran out of money. Donations to our St. Gerard Maternity Patient Release Fund were used to pay the remInder of their N300,600 ($262) bill, an amount which may not seem like much to us but would take a very long time to Blessing’s family to raise.

Thank you for supporting our organization, enabling us to change the lives of Nigeria’s children and mothers for the better.

Blessing had a difficult birth which resulted in an expensive cesarean section that she was unable to pay for. As a result, she was detained at the hospital for over three weeks until we were notified and paid for her release.

In these photos, Blessing and her baby visit Divine Providence Home where they are given formula distributions, clothing and diapers as part of our Food and Formula Program. We thank God that we have been able to provide support to mothers who are struggling to care for their babies, and we are just one of many organizations doing so throughout the world. In Southern California, where we are based, I know many organizations providing much-needed assistance to impoverished mothers and their children.

Let’s dispel the myth that profilers only care about the unborn and let’s promote a culture where life is always valued, both inside and outside of the womb.

This week was a huge week for the children of Restored Destiny Orphanage. After weeks of negotiations, the land deal has been finalized, and the orphanage received the deed to the land where their new home will be built! 🙏🏿

We thank God and all of you who donated to our organization, making this life-changing purchase possible.

The land that we secured for them is part of a bigger area, and their property needed to be portioned off immediately, so we sent funds so that the construction of their perimeter wall could begin immediately.

In this photo, the children visit the land for the first time and were overjoyed, saying prayers of thanks to God. They are truly special.

In front of them, a worker begins the wall's construction. After it has been completed, the home's construction will begin!

We are still very far from our fundraising goal but will begin building incrementally as funds allow. We have paid the rent at their current property through the end of the year, so we know that they have shelter at least through the end of December.

As you may know, the property owners have asked for their property back and have given Restored Destiny some time to find another home. We trust that God will enable us to build them a home in time. As always, He is in control.

Consider partnering with us to help build them a home by making a donation. These children deserve a permanent place of their own.

To contribute, please visit theokajafoundation.org or text RESTOREDESTINY to 44-321.

We thank God for all the children that have been taken in by Divine Providence Home.

Dermot was just 8lbs at 8 months old when he first arrived at Divine Providence Home. He is now a thriving (and dancing) 16-month-old.

When Emmanuel's mother gave birth to him at just 30 weeks, she knew she would be unable to provide for him and asked Divine Providence Home to care for him. He spent many weeks at the hospital but made an incredible recovery and is now a healthy, happy toddler.

We thank Emmanuel's mother for choosing life and thank God for inspiring Sr. Rita to found Divine Providence Home in 2007. They have taken in over 200 young lives.

Thank you for partnering with us in caring for Dermot, Emmanuel, and all the children both at Divine Providence Home and Restored Destiny orphanage.

Each and every life is a miracle, deserving of love and proper care.
