This month our 💙 CLE Connect team had the absolute privilege of hosting a fresh flower arranging class for a group of truly incredible women.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little time, shared creativity, and the simple beauty of nature to bring a sense of calm and comfort to our lives. We gathered in the art room not just to arrange beautiful blooms, but to cultivate a gentle space of peace, connection, and mutual support.

From the vibrant sunflowers and delicate roses to the thoughtful details like hand-tied twine and bright ribbons, every single arrangement turned out to be completely unique.

Seeing the smiles and watching each bouquet come together reminded us of the resilient beauty within every individual.

A special thank you to everyone who shared their evening, their hearts, and their creativity with us. 🌿💐

To truly celebrate America, we must care for those who defended it. This holiday, CLE💙Connect recognizes the many veterans in our local unhoused community. These individuals sacrificed to secure our nation's liberties, and it is our collective duty to ensure they are met with deep gratitude, unwavering dignity, and a safe place to call home.

Today, as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, we honor the timeless founding promise that "all men are created equal." For two and a half centuries, the country has continually strived to live up to this sacred democratic ideal. Amid the festivities, let's remember to practice extra grace and understanding with everyone we encounter. A simple moment of patience can completely transform the day for a neighbor who is silently struggling. Let’s lead our community with empathy and make sure every person in Cleveland feels recognized, supported, and valued.

There are moments that remind us what community truly means, and this past weekend was one of them. 💙

True generosity isn't just about giving—it’s about showing up with an open heart for those walking through life's toughest chapters. This weekend, our incredible CLE volunteers poured their love and energy into cooking 50 warm, comforting meals.

These plates were delivered straight to a local women's shelter. More than just food, we wanted to deliver a reminder to these resilient women that they are seen, cared for, and never alone. When life gets heavy, a simple home-cooked meal made with love can be a powerful anchor.

To every volunteer who chopped vegetables, stirred pots, and drove deliveries: thank you. You didn't just give your time; you shared your heart. You are the absolute soul of Cleveland. 🏙️✨

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

But we must also remember the veterans who made it home and are still fighting silent battles on our streets.

Honoring the fallen also means to take care of the living and to look after the very people that those brave and selfless men and women gave their lives to protect.

True gratitude is action. No veteran should ever be unhoused, and thanks to our community's incredible support, we move closer daily to more solutions and ways to better serve our unhoused community members.

Homelessness is rarely the result of laziness or poor choices. Instead, it is most often caused by a tragic combination of housing market failures, unexpected medical bills, or sudden job loss. Building a real friendship with an unhoused neighbor reveals the intense, exhausting daily reality of living without a safe place to rest.

When you get to know the person behind the stereotype, you quickly learn that living on the street is anything but a life of ease. In fact, surviving day-to-day requires an incredible amount of relentless work.

Let's replace our assumptions with empathy. When we stop to listen, we realize that our unhoused neighbors aren't lazy—they are just human beings enduring one of the most difficult experiences a person can face.

Cleveland, let's support our neighbors! CLE Connect is launching a monthly "Dollar Donation Day" with the first event on March 18th. Every dollar raised directly supports critical services for our local unhoused community.

Why just $1? Because at CLE Connect, we believe that every single dollar counts toward providing food, hygiene essentials, and restorative dignity to those who need it most. When we all give a little, it adds up to a massive impact for Northeast Ohio.

How You Can Help on March 18th:

🍀 St. Patrick's Day festivities are here in Cleveland bringing a sea of green to Downtown as Old Man Winter ❄️ has also made a comeback this Tuesday!

With large crowds comes great responsibility; let's celebrate the day safely while keeping in mind all of the community around us and offering a little extra love to our unhoused neighbors if possible.
