2026 ACE Summer Career Experience: What an Incredible Summer!
Take a look back at our 2026 ACE Summer Career Experience and the incredible final presentations from this year’s cohort of talented young women! From hands-on learning and career development to field trips, job shadowing, and industry engagement, these students spent six weeks learning, creating, collaborating, and exploring what’s possible in the A/C/E industry.
This summer was filled with opportunities to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences and to see firsthand the many career pathways within Architecture, Construction, and Engineering.
A HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible sponsors, presenters, mentors, shadowing hosts, field trip hosts, industry partners, volunteers, and community partners who opened their doors, shared their expertise, and invested their time in our students. Your support helped make this experience meaningful, memorable, and impactful.
And to our students, we are so proud of you! Your creativity, confidence, teamwork, and willingness to learn made this summer truly special. We can't wait to see where your talents and ambitions take you next!
This is what it looks like when we come together to Engage. Excite. Enlighten. The next generation of A/C/E professionals.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 ACE Summer Experience a success!

Weeks 4 & 5 were filled with design, career development, financial literacy, and real-world A-C-E experiences!

Our students explored community park and gathering space design with Jacinda Walker of designExplorr, using their creativity to develop new spaces or reimagine existing ones.

Through Breadwinners Academy, students worked with Jason Lockett Sr. on financial literacy—from creating budgets and learning financial terms through Kahoot Jeopardy to learning about the Greater Cleveland Community Credit Union matching program, which offers up to $450 in matching funds for eligible savings accounts.

Thank you to Kristen Bell for coordinating our NEORSD experience! Students toured the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant, Dewatering Pump Station, and Fairhill/MLK Green Infrastructure Site, learning how engineering, infrastructure, and sustainability impact our communities.

A special thank you to Dr. Salwa Beheiry, Director of the Construction Management Program, for developing the Superior Farms RFP and welcoming our students to her engineering class, where they shared their projects and connected with college students.

And thank you to Mike Denallo of Langan for helping students develop their CAD drawings and bring their design concepts to life.

Representation matters. Access matters. Opportunity matters. This MLK Day, we recommit to opening doors in architecture, construction, and engineering for the students who will shape tomorrow’s cities. Through mentorship from industry professionals, we engage and enlighten high school students—providing real-world exposure, guidance, and support that fuels confidence, builds pathways, and encourages continued advancement within the industry. This is how we honor Dr. King’s vision: by investing in the next generation of leaders and change-makers.
