What happens when you have a building that’s over 100 years old… and a few forgotten closets?
You find pieces of history.
We recently uncovered a photo album that hasn’t been touched in decades.
These photos date back to 1978, capturing the very beginning of Hitchcock Center for Women.
At that time, the Hitchcock family donated a home that would become a 10 bed halfway house for women struggling with alcoholism.
These are the women who made this work possible. The ones who believed women deserved access to treatment, support, and a chance to rebuild.
They were pioneers. And we wouldn’t be who we are today without them.
With that, we’re excited to start sharing more moments like this from our past.
