We're excited to welcome families to our LeafBridge West location in Rocky River for an evening of Halloween fun! Enjoy trick-or-treating in a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment designed for children and adolescents with special needs.

Earlier this month, we celebrated Sports Team Spirit Day at UCP of Greater Cleveland. People we serve and team members showed their Cleveland pride by wearing their Browns gear and getting into the spirit of the season.

We were glad to welcome reporter Nadeen Abusada of News 5 Cleveland to UCP of Greater Cleveland yesterday to talk about Issue 10 and what it could mean for people with developmental disabilities across Cuyahoga County.

Watch her conversation with Tyrone Peacock, one of the people we serve, and Amber Gibbs of the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities to hear more about the importance of the levy and the critical services it supports.

As you prepare to vote, we encourage you to learn more about Issue 10 and how it could impact people with developmental disabilities in our community!

Issue 10 is a 2.25-mill levy that would help fund the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, which serves about 15,000 individuals each year.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month! This year’s theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” recognizes the contributions and talents people with disabilities bring to the workplace.

At UCP, we support people with disabilities in building skills, finding meaningful employment, and becoming more independent in their communities. We’re proud to celebrate the talent and potential of the people we work for all year long.

UCP of Greater Cleveland was in Columbus yesterday as part of Ohio Provider Resource Association Advocacy Army's Statehouse Advocacy Day, joining disability service providers from across Ohio for conversations with legislators.

During the day, we thanked lawmakers for their ongoing support of Ohio’s Developmental Disability and Vocational Rehabilitation systems and encouraged continued support in the new administration to come.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to advocate alongside providers from across Ohio and help keep the needs and voices of people with disabilities at the forefront of these conversations.
