What a summer at Camp LeafBridge (ESY)!

Our Alternative Education Program hosted Camp LeafBridge (ESY) throughout this summer, which was filled with energy, learning, and memorable experiences.

From adaptive yoga and music therapy to creative arts, educational activities, and a trip to Great Lakes Science Center , campers built skills, confidence, and friendships along the way. They also gave back by creating Birthday Cake Kits for Providence House Crisis Nursery to help make celebrations extra special for local families💙

Wednesday was such a special day for LeafBridge as our Early Development Screener Day, in partnership with Case Western Reserve University, was a success.

The therapists had the opportunity to connect with families and provide screenings in a supportive and welcoming space. It was a meaningful experience for everyone involved.

Through developmental screenings and one-on-one conversations, families gained a deeper understanding of their child's strengths, development, and available supports. Early identification can make all the difference, and we're proud to help families access resources when they need them most.

We're thrilled to partner with Case Western Reserve University's Communication Sciences Program and support these children and families in our community.

Meet Ariana, a student at LeafBridge Alternative Education who loves book discussions, MadLibs, and sharing her opinions with others!

Through UCP of Greater Cleveland's Alternative Education program, Ariana eagerly participates in shared reading and book discussions, expressing her thoughts with teachers and classmates. She enjoys writing about her interests and experiences while building communication skills and confidence along the way. Ariana also looks forward to creative writing, STEM, art, adapted play, and community-based learning experiences that bring learning to life. One of the highlights of her day is social group, where she collaborates with friends on MadLibs, discusses current events, and plays games, building meaningful connections and friendships.

With support from her family and UCP's team, Ariana continues to grow her communication skills, independence, and confidence.
