What is Rotary Works? 🤔

As Rotarians, we have always appreciated the opportunities membership presents to do business with like-minded individuals who share the same business values and ethics. Rotary Works is a chance for members and guests to meet once a month on the third Tuesday and learn about what their fellow members do, giving us a chance to support one another and encourage Rotarians with more business experience to identify Rotarians they could mentor.

Rotary Works agenda:
• 8:00 am - Member introductions (60 seconds each)
• 8:40 am - One person describes their business more in depth (10 minutes)
• 8:50 am - Solicit potential speakers for our normal club lunch/happy hour.
• 9:00 am - End

He may look a little familiar as Mike was a recent recipient of a Rotary Club of Cleveland Business Awards. We knew then he is a good apple, and now we are very lucky he is in our bunch. Join us this Thursday as we welcome speaker Karen R. Long. Karen was the book editor for The Plain Dealer from 2005 until 2012, when she left the newspaper to manage the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards for the Cleveland Foundation, retiring in 2024. She still writes and edits for Kirkus Magazine, and served as a vice president of the National Book Critics Circle, helping judge and award the best books each spring in New York City for eight years.

Thanks to the generous support of so many in our community, they have made tremendous strides to fulfill their mission of “Creating a world where there are only abilities!” They need your support as they continue this voyage of making a difference in the lives of special needs children and their families.

🚶‍♀️‍➡️ Join us on Saturday, September 26 as we host District 6630 inbound students from Mexico, Brazil, France and Italy, and Rotarians/host families from around the district to tour our beloved city of Cleveland. 🏢 Tour includes lunch and a presentation/Q&A with Global Cleveland.
