We are honored to share these words from René, an active member of the Board of Directors, longtime supporter, and friend. His story is a powerful reminder of why this work matters, and why building a home for music education in Cleveland is worth everything.

That is the vision behind the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Music House, a once-in-a-generation campus expansion that will open the doors of The Music Settlement to even more young people across our city. With this expansion, more students will walk into this beautiful place, find their voice, and write their own story.

René has spent his career designing products used by millions, leading Balance Innovation to award-winning success, and giving back through boards and nonprofits across Northeast Ohio. Today, he is using his voice to invest in the next generation of Cleveland talent.

BOP STOP is honored to welcome award-winning Nashville singer-songwriter Erica Sunshine Lee for a one-of-a-kind evening, brought to Cleveland by a generous supporter of The Music Settlement who believes in both Erica's artistry and our mission.

Erica is a true working songwriter. Her writing earns comparisons to Dolly Parton for its range and Stevie Nicks for its raspy, soulful voice, featuring anthems of hope, healing, love, and women's empowerment that feel honest and hard-earned. She is also the founder of Key West Chick Fest, providing independent female singer-songwriters with a powerful platform to collaborate, create, and connect.

What makes this night even more special: Funds raised will support songwriting classes at our Center for Music, giving young and emerging songwriters across Cleveland the chance to find their own voice and tell their own stories.

A week of musical discovery for our youngest explorers.

Music Safari Camp is the perfect starting point for young children curious about playing an instrument but not yet sure which one to pick. Over the course of one week, campers will explore every family of instruments, including strings, winds, brass, percussion, and keyboard, through hands-on play, musical games, and crafts. It is a joyful way to help kids discover what instrument speaks to them before starting private lessons. No previous experience required.

Two sessions to choose from:

July 6 to 10 | University Circle Campus
July 13 to 17 | Ohio City Campus

J@MS Jazz Camp gives young musicians a full week of ensemble playing, improvisation, technique, and musicianship, all under the direction of Cleveland Jazz Legend Award recipient Ken LeeGrand. This summer offering of our nationally acclaimed jazz program at The Music Settlement program will polish skills, dig into jazz styles, and close with a wrap-up performance that brings it all together.
