The Music Settlement serves as a community anchor in Cleveland, Ohio, offering music lessons, early childhood (preschool and kindergarten) programs, and music therapy to all. The Music Settlement provides top-quality music instruction, early childhood education and music therapy services through our three Centers at two campuses - University Circle (Cleveland east) and Ohio City (Cleveland west). We serve a diverse clientele with offerings available for children as young as three-weeks old to senior adults and all backgrounds and abilities.

The Music Settlement is searching for a Vice President of Advancement. The Music Settlement is growing, and we are looking for teammates who believe that music, education, and community can change lives.

In the VP of Advancement role, you will provide creative vision and leadership for our Advancement Department. We are looking for a teammate who will support, update, and execute all aspects of the Advancement Strategic Plan, in collaboration with the department, CEO and Board. The successful candidate will serve as the lead fundraiser and a thought partner to the CEO in shaping the organization's philanthropic strategy and future success.

Gateways Music Festival and the Eastman School of Music celebrate violist George Taylor’s 40 years at Eastman with a moving tribute to his artistry, mentorship, and enduring impact. Joined by the Gateways Chamber Players, join the Rochester community to honor a beloved teacher and artist.

Join for its next Crowdsourced Conversation – a community-driven series that brings people together to discuss important issues and explore opportunities for positive change. The upcoming conversation, focused on arts and culture, is planned for Thursday, October 22, 6:30-8:00 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm).

Your responses and your attendance on October 22 will help inform future priorities for the recently formed Cleveland Heights Arts Commission.

The Music Settlement recognizes kids and young teens with disabilities who need a space where they can create social bonds and skills. The Music Revue Jr. program offers them a space to learn new social skills while sharing and making music together!

Kids and young teens with disabilities who want to be with others can practice and learn new social skills while sharing and making music together.

Please contact our Center for Music Therapy at (216)-42105806 ext. 104 for more information and to register. Tuition assistance and scholarships are available to qualified applicants.

Yesterday, The Music Settlement held their 2026 Annual Meeting. It was an amazing evening, filled with wonderful people with a similar goal in mind -- to continue uplifting arts education in Cleveland.

We were thrilled to be joined by our keynote speaker Jeremy Johnson, the President and CEO of Assembly for the Arts. His perspective as a TMS alumnus and his dedicated advocacy for the future of Ohio’s arts community provided vital, beautiful insights

Please join us in welcoming Jocelyn Stewart to The Music Settlement as the new Marketing Coordinator!

Born in Pennsylvania and raised in over five states, Jocelyn Stewart is a graphic designer, illustrator, and brand storyteller with a love for all things colorful and bold. She graduated from Kent State University with her B.A. in Visual Communication Design in 2026. Jocelyn worked as an illustrator and layout designer for two student-led Kent State University magazines: Fusion Magazine and A Mag. As the social media intern for Zygote Press in Cleveland, she attained invaluable experience and passion in non-profit art education and marketing. When she is not sketching new ideas, Jocelyn enjoys playing rhythm games with friends and crocheting.

In collaboration with the Cleveland Cello Society (Cleveland Cello Society), the Cleveland Cello Collective is an opportunity for intermediate and advanced cellists to gather together for a fulfilling afternoon of ensemble playing. Over the course of six weeks, you will learn invaluable skills in teamwork and ensemble playing.
