On this Thankful Thursday we would like to recognize an extremely crucial organization that is making the biggest difference in helping get a hold of the animal crisis going on, here in Northeast Ohio. “SLOW THE FLOW” is a new spay and neuter service that will fix your dog for FREE, if you own a pit bull/pit bull-mix and you live in Cuyahoga County. As the founder of Slow the Flow always says, “Whether you love them, or hate them, I think we can all agree that there are too many pit bulls in our city.” We, at Timmy’s Hope, absolutely LOVE pit bulls, but we know that the more litters of puppies being made, means the more dogs that are homeless, starving, roaming the streets, and being euthanized in local shelters because there is absolutely no more room. The single, most important way to prevent that? SPAY AND NEUTER your pets!

We are excited to announce that MYLA was spayed yesterday through this awesome program, because her parents, who are currently in treatment, wanted to do the right thing and prevent any unwanted future litters. This one decision alone, possibly prevented 10-14 more pit bulls from ending up in an overcrowded shelter in the future.

Thank you to PetFix Northeast Ohio, Inc. for performing the surgery and to Slow the Flow for covering the cost. You are truly making the difference our city needs. And look at how happy Myla looks that her parents decided to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem ♥️

Hey everyone, help us welcome sweet little 🎃”PUMPKIN”🎃to Timmy’s Hope!
Luckily, we already have a foster home secured, but we are asking for some help with some supplies on Pumpkin’s wishlist. She’s not asking for a lot. . . Some food, kitty litter, and couple of toys to keep her entertained until Dad completes treatment and can get a place of his own.

We are so excited to announce that Littles was reunited with his Mom & Dad today! Huge congratulations to Dad who graduated from his treatment program last week 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. And props to Mom for staying sober through this rough patch, by moving in to a sober living house 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼. They were working on finding stable housing and were excited to tell us they got the keys to their new place this past weekend. We are beyond happy for the both of you!
Littles struggled at the beginning being separated from his Dad. We struggled at finding him a foster home. With that being said, we would like to thank every person who stepped up to help Littles in one way or another. He definitely required a village. It turns out, Littles just wanted to stay with “Nana” and that’s when he was able to settle down and relax. Thank you, Nana, for everything you did for this little boy.

We love you so much, Buddy & we sure are going to miss you. We are so excited that you are back with your Mom and Dad. Make sure to send us updates!

When he realized that was Dad, he could not contain his excitement. There is such an obvious bond between them; something we noticed right away, the day we picked him up. We are so excited for all of them. More pictures to come!

Who needs a Feel Good Friday post to brighten their day? 🙋‍♀️ We sure do!

Our girl Myla is doing amazing in foster care! ❤️ She recently got to visit her dad, and moments like that are exactly why Timmy's Hope exists.

Myla recently took on a part time job: She is very serious about stick collection. Every walk requires finding the perfect stick and carrying it the entire way. 😂🌳 We're convinced she believes she's the neighborhood's official stick removal specialist.

Stories like Myla's are only possible because of our incredible foster families. They give these pets a safe place to land while their humans focus on healing.

This fundraiser is especially close to our hearts because Baby's mom is an employee at Aladdin's. While she focuses on her recovery journey, Timmy's Hope has been caring for Baby, giving her peace of mind knowing her best friend is safe and loved. Hosting this fundraiser is her way of giving back to the program that has been there for her when she needed it most.

Nobody likes getting shots... especially Littles. 💉🐾

With a little help from peanut butter, we made it through! 🥜❤️ (We're pretty sure that's the only reason he's speaking to us again.)

His foster mom was right there cheering him on, spoiling him with love, and making sure he felt safe every step of the way. We're pretty sure she enjoyed the peanut butter just as much as Littles enjoyed the extra cuddles afterward. ❤️

Foster families are the heart of Timmy's Hope. Without people willing to open their homes and their hearts, we simply couldn't do what we do. They make it possible for pets like Littles to stay safe and loved while their families focus on recovery.
