Today is Race Day! Registration starts at 10am at KDK Mitsubishi in Brunswick. Racing starts between 12-1pm. We will push out a link to watch live on YouTube.

Come Saturday Dec 4th to KDK Mitsubishi. Drop off a toy for Toys for Tots and watch or racing in our pinewood derby. If you are racing in the pinewood derby a toy gets the $5 registration covered by KDK. We will have special guest Scout mom and Scout leader, Michelle Meade to answer questions.

Calling all Adults, Kids, Boys, and Girls, The 2021 KDK 500 Pinewood Derby is Dec 4th. Registration is at 10am and costs $5. Build a New car, bring an already built car, bring a car you raced in scouts, just bring a car. Doesn't matter how old you are. This is going to be fun for all ages. We have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies for each group. Young kids (till 5 Grade), older kids (6th through 12th), and Adults. We will even have a few metals for the "best-looking" cars.

The pinewood cars can be purchased from the Scout shops in Cleveland and Stow ($5.00). Hobby Lobby and Micheals has a few car kits.

Registration is $5 per car unless you bring a Toy for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Then KDK Mitsubishi covers the registrations fee to say Thank you.

Rules. The rules are the same as the Soaring District Scouting. Since most cars will already be following these rules, this makes it easy for most of our racers. The big thing is to keep it at or near 5 oz.

Just found out we will have the amazing Michelle Bush Meade taking questions on Scouting at the race. If you are asking is Scouting right for your child, how can I join my child, or what Scouting can do for your family, come to the race on Dec 4th and Talk to Michelle.

Michelle has doing scouting for many years and held a number of different positions. She was Den Mother and had the Scouts reach Arrow of Light and continued on to Scouting. She is also helping 2 other Den reach the same goal besides recruitment and doing our major fundraising.

Pack 3517 and KDK Mitsubutshi are putting on a Pinewood Derby for young kids, older kids, and adults to race at. Use your old car or build a new car. Race your car with us on Dec 4th. Registration per car is $5. KDK will cover your registration if you donate to "Toys for Tots". There will be trophies and prizes. Bring your old pinewood cars from when you were a scout. Race your Son or Daughter. Turn it into a family event and race grandparents and your kids. Girls and Girl Scouts can come to prove they are just as fast as the boys.
You don't need to be a scout, just a pinewood car builder.
