Way to go Officer Holloway! We are proud to support folks like him, who represent the best of those serving our community.
⭐️ OFFICER LEGEND HOLLOWAY NAMED CLEVELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT’S FEBRUARY OFFICER OF THE MONTH ⭐️
On January 13, 2026, Officer Holloway responded to a call regarding a subject in crisis. The individual had received distressing news and family was concerned with their well-being. Officer Holloway, a trained Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer, made contact with the young individual and began connecting with them and working towards a safe plan. Officer Holloway's supervisor was also on the scene and shared "What I witnessed was not just someone who is trained in that area (CIT), but someone showing genuine compassion in a time of need by a young man who he had never met".
Many times our officers are meeting people for the first time during a stressful, chaotic moment in their life. We are tasked with creating connection to a stranger and gaining their trust to create safe outcomes, in a short amount of time. Well done Officer Holloway!! Thank you for showing our community that behind every badge is a heart.
