What do you do when you have an injury when it matters most? 😳

🙏🏻 PRAY 🙏🏻

It may not work perfectly.
It may not “cure all.”

But prayer is more than just physical healing—it is a complete reliance on the Lord.

It is spiritual nourishment to the soul.

It is trusting that the Lord is above all and will be with you through it all, no matter what happens.

What pianist Carter Johnson experienced was hope. An overwhelming love and support from his Christian community was like spiritual medicine.

The Lord helped him through it. 🎹

“Leaving the Met was one of the hardest and most faith-filled decisions of my life…It didn’t make sense on paper—but it made sense in prayer.”

Have you listened to our interview with violinist David Chan?

David shares what led to his decision to leave the Met Orchestra to teach at Rice University, how faith has shaped his career, and what it means to follow God‘s calling with courage and a culture that often pushes the opposite direction.

This is at the heart of Crescendo.

Musicians who don’t separate their faith from their artistry—but bring both fully to the stage.

To us, it’s not just a concert. It’s an offering to the Lord.

On Saturday, March 28 at 9am EDT, experience a special online streaming of the complete performance of St. Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach. This moving presentation features the Malaysia Bach Festival Singers and Orchestra, led by David Chin at the harpsichord, with acclaimed tenor Daniel Johannsen.

Bach’s St. Matthew Passion holds special significance during the Lenten season as it reflects on the suffering and sacrifice of Christ. Bach’s setting transforms the Gospel narrative into a profound spiritual experience, combining scripture, sacred poetry, and music into a form of worship. Often described as a “preacher in music,” Bach brings the story vividly to life through reflective chorales, expressive recitatives, introspective arias, and dramatic choruses, inviting listeners not just to hear the Passion, but to contemplate and encounter its meaning on a personal level.

What a wonderful time our Pittsburgh Hub members had before the PSO concert as they (along with a few other special guests) had the privilege of meeting with Maestro Manfred Honeck and praying together! This prayer time proceeded the performance of Mahler Symphony No. 2, the “Resurrection Symphony”, performed so powerfully by the PSO.

This massive work takes the listener on an apocalyptic journey from funeral march to a cataclysmic finale, offering a profound musical affirmation of eternal life.

“I needed this time of gathering, the message, and fellowship. At a time when a lot is happening personally, Hannah Flowers’ music was sincerely a balm to my ragged soul.”

A beautiful response by Crescendo member Greg to the recent Twin Cities meeting. It’s a privilege to share life together, in times of blessing and during trials of many kinds.
