We are organizing our Fifth Annual Mitch Turner Drive Away Cancer Golf Tournament. Due to the efforts of sponsors and participants, we have been able to raise approximately $15,000 in four years for cancer research! ncer for six years and, throughout his battle, he was very involved in efforts to educate others and make them aware of the importance of early detection, so that others would not have to endure what he did. Even after his passing, he continued to help by donating his body to Cancer Research in hopes that “they’d discover a better or new way…” to treat cancer. The purpose of the tournament is to continue our Dad’s work and raise cancer prevention awareness and to raise money for cancer research. Proceeds will be donated to the Colon Cancer Coalition (please visit www.coloncancercoalition.org ) and the American Cancer Society, to help in their efforts to fight cancer. If you would like to contribute to our efforts, you may sponsor a hole for $200, donate money of any amount, and/or donate items for the event such as door prizes, tees, golf balls, t-shirts, refreshments, etc. If you choose to sponsor a hole, your name or the name of your company will be placed at a tee box on the course on the day of the tournament.
