Today we recognize National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
As an LE/VET motorcycle club, we know the weight of the badge and the sacrifice it demands.
To the men and women who stand the line and answer the call: you are respected and appreciated. This isn’t just today — we appreciate law enforcement every day.
Much love and respect from your brothers at Sons of War LE/VET MC

24 years ago today, 2,753 people were killed in an attack that would change the US forever. Today we pay tribute to those lives lost and salute the 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, 55 military personnel, 8 paramedics who selflessly gave their lives trying to save others and the 33 passengers and 7 crew members of flight 93 who courageously gave their lives to thwart one more attack. Today is a day for reflection, for honoring, and for shaping a brighter tomorrow.

Today is a day for the fallen, not those who are still in uniform, that's armed forces day.
Today is a day for the fallen, not those who have hung up their uniform, that's veterans day.
Today is a day for the fallen, those who can not take the uniform off, those who didn't make it back home.
Today, we remember the fallen, and we raise a beer to them.

Recently, Dan, a self-employed boat mechanic and veteran, was in a motorcycle accident when a Corvette cut him off. He sustained serious injuries, resulting in 12 pins and 2 rods being placed in his arm, which has made it impossible for him to work. AmVets post 67 is hosting an event to support Dan with his medical and personal expenses, and all proceeds will go directly to him. Dan will arrive at AmVets post 67 between 2 and 3 pm to welcome riders and meet attendees. The event is scheduled for April 12th at 10 am, but the post will open at 9 am for those who want to arrive early. A good amount of our members are also members at this AmVets post and therefore will not be wearing Sons of War gear but those of us that can, will be there to help support Dan, Sons of Wal LE/VET MC is also donating a bottle of whiskey to be raffled off to raise additional funds to help Dan.

May we honor Deputy Magli's bravery and sacrifice 4 years ago today, taken too soon from his family, all of whom are on our minds and in our hearts today.

On the afternoon of February 17th, 2021, Deputy Michael J. Magli heard on the radio that there was a drunk driver barreling down East Lake Road in his direction. Knowing the reckless driver was headed toward heavy rush hour traffic, he positioned his vehicle in the median and prepared to deploy stop sticks in an attempt to stop the vehicle. Just as he was about to deploy them, the driver lost control of his truck and struck Deputy Magli.

"Some will say that Michael was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I say nonsense. Deputy Michael J. Magli was in the right place at the right time doing what cops do every day throughout this country: protecting others even if it means grave personal danger to themselves." - Sheriff Bob Gualtieri

It's been four years since we lost Deputy Magli. His family will always have a place in our hearts at the PCSO and each year on this day, we will honor his sacrifice.
