Today I was coaching my friend Dre on our club ride.

I noticed she was really stiff when riding. She said "I'm like a machine".

True. I told her to loosen up her shoulders and move side to side to create some more efficiency.

Almost immediately she started riding faster.

Then we worked on some cornering technique. She picked it up super fast!

The key is keeping your center of gravity over the tires where they meet the road.

1️⃣ I tell my athletes to stay with the inside knee pointing out and intimidate the corner of the turn.

2️⃣ Load all your weight on the pedal that is down.

3️⃣ Shift your butt to the "high side" of the saddle.

4️⃣ Bend your elbows and get low, but move your shoulders are over the wheels.

Comment if you have questions!

OH yeah... Dre got a QOM 👑 when she lowered her shoulders too!

Today I was reminded of how impressive the young talent is here in Indiana.

I've been riding with some of these kids since they were 14 and watching them develop into true stallions is so cool.

I went to a popular ride called the Big Loop. One of my teammates said it'd be a gentleman's ride since the hammers were at Unbound.

FALSE.

Today had everything Indiana offers. Flat fast roads and crosswinds.

I stayed in the mix a little too long. At 52 yo, it's difficult to find time to recover from 450w pulls like these bad ass kids do.

I dropped myself with about 5 miles to go. Pretty smashed. But loved every minute of it.

These kids are beasts. They are great bike handlers. They are good kids and fun to be around.

It excites and inspires me too ride with them again.

You’re strong in the gym, hitting personal bests on your heavy lifts. So why do your legs lock up and your power fade when the road pitches up? The problem isn't your fitness—it's a fundamental failure in force transfer. Most cyclists are stuck training in one dimension, leaving their raw strength trapped in the weight room. This post introduces the critical 4 Power Quadrant Framework, showing you exactly where the problem lives and giving you the proven Rollfast protocol—including specialized Q2 training and the DOM Ai validation system—to build the neuromuscular bridge and turn your gym strength into real-world speed.
