At Good Neighbors, our food rescue efforts help make those moments possible for families throughout our community by providing fresh fruits, vegetables, and nourishing food that can turn an ordinary afternoon into something special.

For many children, summer means sunshine, freedom, and fun.
But for far too many families, it also means empty cupboards and missed meals.

More than 800,000 children in Florida face hunger during the summer months, and many lose access to the breakfasts and lunches they depend on during the school year. Even more heartbreaking, programs designed to help reach only a fraction of eligible children, leaving nearly 83% without access to summer meals. (Feeding Florida)

At Good Neighbors, we are working to help fill that gap by providing nutritious food to children and families in our community when they need it most.

Every donated item, every volunteer hour, and every dollar helps place food on a table and hope in a child’s hands. 🌞🍎

Good Neighbors provides backpacks full of hearty meals for kids facing food insecurity. While school is out more kids struggle to get enough to eat for themselves or siblings so we pack these bags full of filling nonperishable meal items, snacks, fruit, and drinks!
