Thanks to all who stopped by our booth at the Woodland College's Earth Day Celebration! We are hoping for more volunteer drivers so that we can help more of our housebound senior and disabled population in Lake County get to their essential appointments such as, medical visits, post office, grocery shopping, etc... Are you a person that wants to help? Many seniors in our county arrive at a point in their lives when they must give up driving. Some can depend on family, friends, or caregivers. Others have no support at all and struggle to get their basic needs met. This is very common and some folks just give up. But there can be an answer. Volunteers with only a couple of hours available a week make a difference in the lives of more aging adults in our county.

We extend a hearty welcome and much appreciation to our newest volunteer drivers, Valerie and Michael, for Ride Links! The addition of more volunteers allows us to continue activate new clients who are presently on a waiting list. With many people doing a little, we can do away with the wait list altogether!

Please complete this short survey to improve traffic safety in your area! The Lake Area Planning Council is updating three Local Road Safety Plans (LRSP) within the Lake County Region including the County of Lake and the cities of Clearlake and Lakeport. Public outreach is a key component to secure grant funding for safety improvements to the roadway network. The survey should take less than 5 minutes, and you will have the opportunity to pinpoint specific locations of concern.

Volunteer drivers are needed. Giving a small amount of time to take a senior to a doctor appointment or grocery shopping can make a big difference in their life.
