Tonight we were able to provide an appreciation dinner of prime rib for our members, to thank them for all of the work they put in at the Iowa State Fair.

Each month our members enjoy a potluck together prior to our meetings. It is a time to join together to visit and have fellowship. Two times a year we provide appreciation dinners, thanking our members for their extra work.

Tonight was our first meeting since the Iowa State Fair, we had the huge honor of hosting ISF CEO Jeremy Parsons! Thank you for all that you do for our club, the state fair and our great state!

Our shuttles will be making an appearance at the Mount Ayr Sesquicentennial 2025 this weekend! The Clearfield Lions Club is proud to donate and sponsor this great event. The volunteers if the Mount Ayr community, including some of our Lions Members, have put in many hours to make this happen.

Pictured below is Lane Parrish, son of Lions members Lincoln and Shawna Parrish and grandson of Lions members John and Patty Parrish and John and Carole Borland.

Lane, along with the rest of the Mount Ayr Raider high school football team volunteered their time this past Subday afternoon, helping the Sesquicentennial Committee put up sponsorship banners. It takes a village!

The 2025 Iowa State Fair has come to an end. After 5,632 loops, we have turned our tractors off and parked our shuttles one last time.

Thank you to the fair board for your continued partnership, thank you to the fairgoers for utilizing our services and THANK YOU to all of our volunteers for making it another successful year!

See you August 13-23, 2026 for our 62nd year of service!

Todd, Cooper, Angie, and I would like to thank everyone for your help and cooperation during 2025 State Fair. There's never a perfect fair but with the great help we always get through it. Again thank you all so much again!!!!!!

The Clearfield Lions Club is proud to support the fair!

Each year, the Lions Club is one of the Big Bull Sponsors. 🐂

Years ago, the Lions Club purchased a bench and donated it to the fair. Last year, we were able to donate funds to update our bench!

The Clearfield Lions Club enjoys having the honor of serving all of you at the Iowa State Fair. We know this wouldn’t be possible without our partnership with ISF CEO Jeremy Parsons and the fair board.

Each year, to show our appreciation. The Lions Club members put on an appreciation fish fry and invite the entire fair board to join us as one in our camping area.

Thank you to the fair board for your continued partnership (61 years and counting!), thank you to all of the members who fried fish on this hot day and thank you the members who provided sides. Here is a glimpse of our fish fry dinner!

Time for a mid-fair wash! 🧼

Although we dust and wipe down our shuttles each morning in order to have the cleanest shuttles and seats possible for fairgoers, we also take the time to fully wash all shuttles halfway through the fair.

Thank you to the volunteers that were able to help wash shuttles today! It takes a village!

The Lions Club of Clearfield Iowa have served campers at the Fair for more than 60 years by operating their shuttle service. What a tremendous service they provide. Always fun to take a quick lap with my friend Danny Campbell.

Have you noticed one of our new improvements to some of the shuttles this year? In addition to having a select number of shuttles with handicap lifts we now have some shuttles with steps so it is easier for everyone to get on and off!

This is thanks to the countless hours our members put in over the winter donating their time, facilities and expertise to continually improve your state fair campground shuttle experience!
