Tonight our chapter enjoyed a fun Family Outing to watch the Harlem Globetrotters! We had 46 members in attendance, and it was a great time for everyone.

One of the highlights of the night was our kids getting the chance to go down on the court and take a picture with the team at the end—an experience they won’t forget!

We love being able to provide opportunities like this for our members and their families! Thank you to everyone that came out and joined us!

We are looking to expand the outreach efforts of our Chapter and truly invest where the needs are greatest.

To do that well, we need to hear directly from the communities we serve.

We are inviting one representative from each community to attend an upcoming chapter meeting to share specific needs within their area. This would be strictly informational — an opportunity to present ways we could pour into your community. After hearing from each representative, our chapter will discuss the outreach options and vote at a future meeting on how we can best serve.

We are currently looking for representatives from:
• East Arcadia
• Elizabethtown
• White Lake
• Bladen Lakes
• White Oak
• Garland
• Ammon
• Harrells
• Council
• Lisbon
• Clarkton

If you know someone who would be a great voice for their community, please send them my way. Tag them in this post, or message or call our WoodmenLife Representstive directly. (910) 874-4152. We want to be intentional and impactful in how we serve.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at WoodmenLife Chapter 262.

We are excited to partner with Bladen Community College to establish a new endowed scholarship supporting Bladen County students pursuing higher education.

Education changes lives, and this scholarship — along with our contributions to the Student Emergency Fund and Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry — helps remove barriers so students can stay focused on reaching their dreams.

WoodmenLife has always believed in protecting families while strengthening the communities we call home. We are proud to invest in the future of Bladen County through opportunities that empower local students.

Together, we are building stronger futures.

Bladen Community College is pleased to announce the establishment of a new endowed scholarship in partnership with Woodmen Life Chapter 262. This scholarship has been created to support students pursuing any degree program at the college and is designated for residents of Bladen County.
This new endowment reflects a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities and investing in the success of local students. By easing financial barriers, the scholarship will help recipients focus on achieving their academic and career goals.
Founded in 1890, Woodmen Life is a not-for-profit life insurance organization dedicated not only to protecting the financial future of families, but also to giving back in meaningful ways. With a long-standing tradition of service, Woodmen Life strengthens communities across America by reinvesting resources locally and supporting initiatives that make a real difference. Through active member involvement, the organization leads and participates in community projects, provides financial support, and honors the nation—demonstrating a deep commitment to both individual security and the well-being of hometowns nationwide.
In addition to establishing the endowed scholarship, Woodmen Life Chapter 262 has also made generous contributions to the college’s Student Emergency Fund and the Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry. These vital resources are well utilized and play an essential role in supporting students by helping meet basic needs, allowing them to remain focused on their education.
Bladen Community College is grateful for this gift and the meaningful impact Woodmen Life Chapter 262 is making in the lives of students and within the community.
For more information about scholarships or ways to give, please contact the Bladen Community College Foundation at 910.879.5500 or visit the website at BladenCC.edu.
