MCVA Mecklenburg County, VA Beekeepers Association We are dedicated community of beekeepers and bee enthusiasts in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

Founded to promote sustainable beekeeping, provide education, support, and resources to both novice and experienced beekeepers. Our mission is to protect and nurture bees, recognizing their vital role in our ecosystem. Through regular meetings, workshops, and community outreach, we foster a welcoming environment for learning and collaboration. We are committed to raising awareness about the impor

tance of pollinators and work closely with local organizations to ensure a brighter future for bees. Join us in our efforts to make a positive impact—one beehive at a time. Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Clarksville YMCA.

Great Day at NatureFest! Thanks to all our beekeepers! Colette, Kat, Larry, Darva, and BIG thanks to Rufus and Mark and Sourwood Branch Bee Farm for lending the bees and setting up the observation hive. It was a big hit with the kids and adults.

The Mecklenburg County Virginia Beekeepers Association will be at NatureFest this Saturday, and we’d love for you to stop by!

Bring the kids and visit our table to learn all about bees and why they are so important to our environment! 🐝🌻

We’ll have fun takeaways for kids, including:
✨ Cute bee stickers
✨ “Just a little bee that believes you can do anything…” bookmarks
✨ Pencils with reminders to bee happy, bee kind, bee honest
✨ Adorable bee-themed erasers

It’s a great chance to spark curiosity, share some positivity, and help the next generation understand how these tiny pollinators make a BIG difference. 💛
