Big news for students in the 7th largest county in TN— DAILY RECESS is coming to middle school! 🥳🎉 Montgomery County will implement 18-20 minutes of recess daily for the 2026-27 school year.

This is a huge step toward healthier, happier schools where students have time to move, connect, recharge, and just be kids. Recess isn’t just for elementary school — middle schoolers need play, movement, and social connection too. 💙

We’re so excited to see our community leading the way and recognizing the importance of protecting time for student well-being every single day.
