Just a quick update on our Guardian Case filed in federal court. It should be approaching the discovery part as the next step. No matter what is being told, ALL parties that were named in the lawsuit are still named in it. No one has been removed. The attorneys assigned to us by the IAFF have been very successful in reaching favorable outcomes for members. Justice moves at its own pace.

Today was the day for a great showing of support for our local firefighters. Clarksville Firefighters Local 3180 would like to thank all that braved the heat and made this tournament a success again this year. To date we have been able to provide over $170,000 in scholarships.
It was hot, a lot of beverages were consumed and a lot more conversations were had and relationships built and strengthened. We appreciate all the sponsors and players. Already planning the next one.

An absolutely amazing turn out to help one of our retirees. This is what it is all about. We spend our lives together and become family. In some cases closer. To get this much response and so quickly was outstanding. We not only had Fire and EMS contacts show up but also just some other good hearted people.Saying thanks does not seem to be enough.
I am truly impressed and grateful for the act of kindness I witnessed today.

A lot of you may have heard that Jay Christoffer had an accident. He is pretty banged up. He has several broken bones and has had some surgeries already. I texted with him a few days ago but have not heard anything in a couple of days. We will likely need to install a temporary ramp for when he gets to go home. I will update when I get more info.
