I am so thankful for the people who donate food to my little free pantry! A donation from yesterday came just in time, because my stock was getting quite low. I love taking in the boxes of donated food, sorting them by their best-by date, making sure the food isn't too old, and once again having lots of food that is ready to refill the pantry daily! It is so nice to be able to put out a wide variety of food for people to choose from. So, if you ever donated to my pantry, I thank you very much!

I had a very successful food drive from the generous folks on Liberty Drive and Liberty Circle this weekend. They donated a whopping 263 pounds of food! Way to go!

Had another great food drive today! Collected 141 pounds of fabulous food! I love to see the variety and the thought that people put into it. Way to go 3rd and 4th streets near Parkway school!

I am looking for more bags for my food drives. These Walmart delivery bags that a few people have donated have worked out really well but I'm running out of them so I'm going to need to use mostly paper lunch sacks for this week's food drive. It can really be any type of bag that looks pretty good and won't be mistaken for a piece of garbage when people see it laying on their front porch.

I missed somebody's donation again so they called me and we went and got it in the evening. 48 whopping pounds! Wow! So that brings this food drive up to 149 pounds! Yay!

Well tonight I got a call from someone saying I hadn't picked up the food they wanted to donate. She said there was quite a bit. Yeah, I remember seeing it there outside her door but there was so much and it was all in Walmart delivery bags, plus there wasn't a bag there with one of my slips stapled to it, so I thought it was just somebody's Walmart delivery. I didn't want to steal someone's groceries, lol. It was 46 more pounds of food! That brings the total to 227 pounds from this food drive!!! Yay!!

I had a super successful food drive today on 3rd and 4th streets in Clarkston! I did ok pulling the wagon until the last house that donated, and then it was so heavy it wouldn't budge anymore. So I had to perform a rescue operation and walk the 5 blocks back to my house on 5th and get my van to drive back to get the food, then walk back to get the wagon and then walk the wagon back home. That was an exciting little adventure I had today and it was raining most of the time. It came out to be 211 pounds of food this time!! I can hardly believe I even had all that food in the wagon-- no wonder I couldn't pull it, lol.
