🐾 Let’s Talk About Inbreeding in Cats — And Why Spay/Neuter Matters 🐾

We see it far too often… kittens born from closely related cats (siblings, parent/offspring, etc.). While it may not always be obvious at first, inbreeding can have serious consequences for these babies 💔

🧬 What can happen with in**ed kittens?
• Birth defects like cleft palate, limb deformities, or heart issues
• Weak immune systems — getting sick more often and struggling to recover
• Failure to thrive (small, weak kittens or fading kitten syndrome)
• Developmental and neurological problems
• Shorter lifespans and chronic health conditions

Some kittens may look “okay” at first, but hidden genetic issues can show up later in life.

🐱 The hard truth:
Inbreeding reduces genetic diversity, making it much harder for kittens to grow into healthy, happy cats.

💡 The good news? This is preventable.

🐾 Let’s Help Each Other Out! 🐾

We are currently looking for 3 litters of kittens (6+ weeks old) to help support a great cause! We have a trusted rescue partner with a waiting list of adopters ready for kittens.

🛑Kittens must be weaned, eating on their own, and thriving without momma.

🛑Important: We must be able to bring in momma for her FREE spay. This is how we stop the cycle and prevent more unwanted litters in our community. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we currently only have 3 free spay spots available, so this request is limited to three litters.

Momma will be returned to you after surgery — we are only asking to get her spayed, not to keep her.

If you can help, please reach out! Just message us how many you have, how old, and some adorable pictures! Along with their mom’s info! We will send you some more info!
